From Hotel Classic and Hotel Villa Betania (5 minutes)
Walk up hill along Via del Poggio Imperiale, turn left at the top into Largo E. Fermi (see map 4), pass the iron gate at the no.1, walk up the inner road to the first big stone building, now hosting the Dept. of Astrophysics.
From Hotel Villa Agape (5 min.)
Walk up hill along via Torre del Gallo till a Y crossing with via del Pian dei Giullari and Via Viviani (see map 4); go downhill to via Righini and reach Largo E. Fermi; pass the iron gate at the no.1, walk up the inner road to the first big stone building, now hosting the Dept. of Astrophysics.
From Hotel David (25 min.)
In front of the hotel take bus no. 12-13 going uphill along viale Michelangelo (see map 5) (being a circular trip, opposite directions have different numbers); get down at the bus stop at the crossing with via S. Leonardo (see map 4); then walk uphill along via S. Leonardo to reach Largo E. Fermi; pass the iron gate at the no.1, walk up the inner road to the first big stone building, now hosting the Dept. of Astrophysics. The bus runs every 20 min, please check the timetable at the bus stop.
From Hotel Firenze and Hotel Il Bargellino (30 min.)
Walk a little and take bus no.11 (direction ``Due Strade'') from the indicated bus stops (see map 1) in via Martelli (resp. piazza Stazione); the bus crosses the river, reaches Porta Romana and goes uphill along Via del Poggio Imperiale (see map 4) ; get out at the bus stop in via del Gelsomino (first on the right after the red light), and return walking uphill along Via del Poggio Imperiale; turn left at the top into Largo E. Fermi, pass the iron gate at the no.1, walk up the inner road to the first big stone building, now hosting the Dept. of Astrophysics.
