On the six vertex model with DWBC

Abstract

The six-vertex model with domain wall boundary conditions (DWBC) has recently undergone a revival of interest, both for its connections with some important issues in enumerative combinatorics and for the fact that bulk quantities are sensitive to boundary conditions even in the thermodynamic limit. We shall here present and discuss recent results on different representations (in terms of Fredholm Determinant, Ortogonal Polynomials or Canonical Fermions) for the partition function of the model.
