Venue
The meeting will be held at the Center for Scientific Culture "Ettore Majorana" in Erice, a small town of Sicily in the South of Italy with a great tradition of hosting high quality scientific meetings (http://www.ccsem.infn.it/). This meeting will be part of the annual programme of the permanent International School on Liquid Crystals, directed by Prof. C. Zannoni, established at this Center in 1998 to host national and international courses and workshops in the field of anisotropic fluids (http://www-th.bo.infn.it/islc/).
Registration
Registration at each one of the meetings, includes: SICL membership 2002-2003, full board accomodation at Center for Scientific Culture "Ettore Maiorana", transportation from/to Palermo airport or railways station, social dinner, excursion, conference proceedings and related materials.

Abstract submission
Deadline
for abstract submission
is June 15th , 2002
Abstract should be in electronic format (one page A4 "Times 12"), ans sent by e-mail to Dr. P.Pasini (pasini@bo.infn.it) with the abstract submission form (WORD-type or PDF-type) .
OR
after April 20 the Abstract can be submitted using the Abstract Submission Fields in the online registration menu provided for the 2002 conferences in this web site.
Proceedings
A special issue of Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals will be devoted to papers submitted for the two events. Camera ready manuscripts should be prepared according to MCLC standards and sent to SICL secretary before July 15th, 2002.
Grants for students
A number of grants will be available to allow participation of undergraduate and graduate students who are members of SICL. Students interested in getting support for participation must fill the application form (WORD-type or PDF-type) and send it by fax to SICL Secretary (+39-071-220 4539) by March 31st, 2002. A decision about grants will be taken by the organizers and communication will be given to the applicants before the end of April.
