The International Conference TUNGUSKA96
(Bologna, 14-17 July 1996)
In 1996, the first really International
Conference on Tunguska, was organized in Bologna by
prof. G. Longo. The Tunguska event was discussed by
a practically equal number of Russian and Western
scientists. 27 abstracts were presented from countries
of the former USSR, 15 from Europe, 11 from United States,
1 from Japan, and 1 from Brazil. Abstracts are available
on line (see below), while a selection of papers has
been published in a special issue of the international
journal Planetary and Space Science, n. 2/3,
1998.
